CAN YOU SPOT REDUCE AND TARGET AN AREA?

No. Unfortunately, you can’t target specific areas. Spot Reduction is a Fitness Myth!


When you burn calories through exercise and create a calorie deficit, your body decides where to mobilise fat stores, influenced by genetics. Unfortunately, it's an overall process that involves the entire body. You can’t target the belly over another part of your body!


What can I do then?

Lose fat generally, simple! To lose fat, you MUST consume fewer calories than you burn.


When you create a calorie deficit, your body uses stored fat reserves to meet its energy needs, leading to fat loss over time.


Therefore, reducing fat from your entire body including your stomach or any other area important to your goals.


Training Abs Won’t Flatten Your Stomach Either!

While abdominal and core exercises are great for strength and size, they won't reveal toned abs. A combination of diet and training the entire body is key to a flatter stomach. Hence, to flatten your stomach you will need to lose fat and to lose fat, you MUST consume fewer calories than you burn.
